The Data and Life of Great Future Cities

Inspired activist Jane Jacobs’ book The Death and Life of Great American Cities, this exhibition highlights the possibilities of using big data to learn about how public spaces are used. By putting the practice of city planning into context, the show also explores how we’ve previously sought to understand cities. Projects by the MiT Senseable City Lab will be shown alongside ideas from leading architects and engineers. (2018 event)
